YOUR RIGHTS

Your rights.
Your choices.

Useful information about making choices, having support and being heard.

Your choices

You can be involved in decisions about your support, ask for information you understand, and take time to consider your options.

Tell the team what matters to you: your routines, preferences and the people you want involved.

Your privacy and dignity

You have the right to be treated with respect. Ask why information is needed and how it will be used before sharing it.

For an initial enquiry, please leave out NDIS numbers, medical records and identification documents.

Someone beside you

You can ask a family member, friend or someone you trust to help you communicate your wishes. An independent disability advocate can also help you understand your rights and speak up.
